HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE

ManagingMobility_Roads_Dheli_1272_edited

The health infrastructure in Delhi is extensive and multifaceted, catering to a diverse population with varying healthcare needs. While there are significant strengths in terms of advanced medical facilities and specialized care, ongoing efforts are needed to address challenges related to accessibility, population pressure, and environmental health impacts. Continuous investment in healthcare infrastructure, innovative public health initiatives, and effective coordination among different levels of governance are essential to ensure comprehensive healthcare for all residents of Delhi. The city's health infrastructure is composed of government and private facilities that offer a range of services from primary to tertiary care. Public Healthcare Facilities include Hospitals, Clinics and Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and Community Health Centers (CHCs) and Research and Training Institutes. Delhi has a robust private healthcare sector with numerous multi-specialty hospitals and diagnostic centers. Despite running Public Health Initiatives and Programs, Emergency and Ambulance Services and Recent Developments and Initiatives like Mohalla Clinics, Delhi faces Healthcare challenges in the form of Population Pressure, Disparities in Access, Coordination Among Agencies and Vector-borne and population related outbreaks of diseases.
